We are the essential link between our students’ education and professional practice. Through stimulating firsthand instruction students learn how to design, develop, and hand code web applications.
Objectives.
- Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the standard markup language for creating web pages
and web applications. With Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and JavaScript, it forms a triad of
cornerstone technologies for the World Wide Web. Students construct basic website structures using HTML.
- Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation
of a document written in a markup language like HTML. CSS is a cornerstone
technology of the World Wide Web, alongside HTML and JavaScript. Students practice how to add color to text, modify images, and create graphics to webpages using CSS.
- JavaScript is an object-oriented computer programming language commonly used to create interactive effects within web browsers. Students demonstrate the ability to code in JavaScript to add dynamic functions to web applications.
- Each student will have developed a personal website to be used as a portfolio for their work and activities learned while being a part of our program.
Outcomes.
These programs expose students to fundamental knowledge and skills utilized in the web design field, it teaches students how to apply a variety of applications and authoring tools to the design, edit and launching of documents, images, graphics, sound and multimedia on the Internet.
